The Secretary-General of IUBCCI, Ms. Isabelle Vladoiu represented the United States at United Nations 14th International Human Rights Summit as Youth Ambassador.

Among the 360 people attending the Summit were the Former President of Costa Rica and Nobel Peace Laureate Dr. Oscar Arias Sanchez, Ambassadors and other representatives of the permanent missions to the UN including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Canada, Cuba, Cyprus, Equatorial Guinea, France, Ghana, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Panama, Romania, Sri Lanka and Turkey.

Ms. Vladoiu delivered a speech in the 2nd Day of the Summit where she addressed some important human rights issues and presented an extensive list of activities undergone by her to further human rights education. Upon the conclusion of the speech, Ms. Vladoiu presented the distinguished guests the Proclamation obtained from the Erie County Legislature of New York that proclaims the day of the Summit as Youth for Human Rights International Day.
