On September 27th 2016 took place a bilateral meeting between the Secretary General of IUBCCI, Ms. Isabelle Vladoiu and the Director of Youth for Human Rights International for the Western NY territory, Ms. Christine Latham.

Youth for Human Rights International (YHRI) is the youth component of United for Human Rights, a global nonprofit organization. Founded in 2001 in Los Angeles, there are now more than 100 Youth for Human Rights International chapters around the world. Their award-winning educational materials are available in 27 languages, bringing the message of human rights to 195 nations.

At the meeting, the representatives of the two worldwide recognized organizations, IUBCCI and Youth for Human Rights International, discussed about the current situation in regards to human rights in the Western NY area, especially in the cities of Buffalo and Rochester, and how is the social and economic welfare affected following human rights violations.

The Secretary General of IUBCCI, Ms. Isabelle Vladoiu, emphasized the importance of knowing the 30 human rights enshrined in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and stressed that IUBCCI supports and promotes them through the activities undertaken by the organization at international level, in particular Article 22 of the UDHR (Social Security) in connection with Article 21 (The Right to Democracy) and 29 (Responsibility).

Upon concluding of the meeting, Director Christine Latham, on behalf of the YHRI in Western NY area, expressed the desire to collaborate with the Secretary General of IUBCCI, Ms. Isabelle Vladoiu on helping to improve these indispensable economic, social and cultural rights.
