Chairman of IUBCCI, PhD Prof. Nasty Vladoiu together with IUBCCI Director, Mr. Tudorel Dobre were this week the head of an official delegation conducted in Amman, the capital of Jordan.

During 23-24 of February, the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) and the Union of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce and Industry from Romania (UBCCR) organized the 2nd Session of the Joint Jordanian-Romanian Business Council having as purpose to address possibilities of establishing new ventures between the two countries (Romania and Jordan).

The JBA Chairman, Mr. Hamdi Al Taba’a, also Deputy Chairman of IUBCCI, spoke about cooperation in the energy, tourism and service sectors such as higher education, healthcare and information technology, and asked the Romanian businessmen to take advantage of the investment allowance under the free trade agreements, which opened Arab and international markets for Jordanian products. He asserted that the investment climate and geographical location of Jordan enable it to become the gate to the regional markets, noting that Romania can be a gateway for the Jordanian products into eastern European markets.

The Chairman of IUBCCI, PhD Prof. Nasty Vladoiu, also in his capacity of President of the Union of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce from Romania, recalled the fruitful visit of the Jordanian economic delegation to Bucharest last year, which resulted in the establishment of the Joint Business Council (JBC), and expressed his willingness for more cooperation between the private sectors in both countries to promote trade, overcome regional turmoil, and cooperate bilaterally or through third-party states such as Gulf Arab states and North Africa.

On the second day of the meetings , the Romanian delegation visited Jordan Industrial Estates Corporation, in Al Muwaggar and were briefed on the incentives and business opportunities present .
